The chapiteau circus in Klin is not a part of the Rosgostsirk circus
 The workers of the chapiteau circus in Klin where a leopard attacked a 7-year-old girl had no tight to let the girl onto the arena without a special permission, as the First deputy-director-general of Rosgostsirk Sergey Nesterov, who had worked with leopards for 12 years, put it.
- It must be checked when a 7-year-old girl appeared on the arena, if this chapiteau circus works on legal conditions, if they have legal permission for such kind of work. In his opinion, the accident took place due to the carelessness of the animal trainer. “All carnivores aggressively react to children. They can tolerate adults but children are nothing but a kill for them”. The workers of the chapiteau circus in Klin under Moscow, where a leopard attacked a 7-year-old girl, had no right to let the girl onto the arena without a special permission. And the main point is that the chapiteau circus where the accident took place has no relation to Russian state circus company.
He also underlined that such cases badly affect the reputation of the real Russian circus and that’s why everything must be done in order not to allow such work without legal permissions.
Director of the touring department of Rosgostsirk Valery Glozman also commented on the situation as follows:
“It’s not right to draw final conclusions about the reasons of the accident in the chapiteau circus in Klin where a leopard attacked a child but it is most likely that there were some violations of the safety rules.
Certainly it’s difficult to judge about the situation at a distance. But something can be stated now – there were obvious violations of the safety rules in the work with carnivores. Perhaps, the child came up to closely to the animal”, - said Glozman.
He also added that the circus where the accident took place has no relation to Russian state circus company.
We want to remind you that during the circus performance a leopard that was leaving the arena after the performance attacked a 7-year-old daughter of an animal trainer. The animal hit the girl’s neck with a paw, the child got a serious trauma and is now in reanimation. According to the doctors, her state is a hard one but her life is out of danger. Not long before the accident the girl took olace in the performance.
