Yekaterinburg circus presents!!!

Children’s international festival of clownery and “Circus of our childhood"

   On 31st May and 1st June 2010 an unforgettable event will take place in Yekaterinburg state circus. Young artists from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belorussia will present to the spectators and professional jury their circus turns in the genre of clownery (musical clownery, buffoonery; satirical, musical clowning; clowns - animal-trainers) and turns in other circus genres staged in comical style. Spectators will see participants of TV shows “Minute of Fame”, “Moscow – NTV – transit" in the festival programme.

   Authoritative jury, among them cultural workers of Sverdlovsk region, will be headed by Director of Yekaterinburg state circus, a famous clown, People’s artist of Russia A. Marchevsky.

   Winners of the festival will have a chance to act in the same programme with outstanding masters of the world clownery in the III World clowns’ festival in November 2010.

   Organizers of the event - Yekaterinburg state circus and Ural regional association of children’s amateur variety and circus troupes – believe in the success of the festival, because its participants – young and talented people are the creative power that supports and develops circus art.

   Beside that, organizers hope that the example of the young artists will help the young spectators feel desire to go in for sports and develop their creative potential.

   The festival is going to have a rich programme: competitions, joyful events, rewarding, festive processions. Spectators will be able to visit master-classes for clowns as well as a presentation of the first edition of the children’s magazine "The Clown’s School", exhibitions of children’s photo- and artistic works dedicated to the circus.

   We hope that this festival will be a great holiday for everyone where talent, friendship, joy and kindness will dominate.
